About the Project
Halytska Square has had many interesting transformations in its history. Until recently, it was home to the Dandelion Fountain, which was preceded by a well with a fountain and a sculpture of Svitezianka, the heroine of the ballad of the same name by poet Adam Mickiewicz. During the reconstruction, which began in 2019, the walls of the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, built in the 1530s, were discovered here.
A dry fountain was installed in the renovated space and dedicated to the newest Hero of Ukraine, Dmytro "Da Vinci" Kotsiubailo, and all the volunteers of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
The seating elements are individual chairs in dark green colors. Trash cans are also integral to this space.
