Journalists Visit FIX Union: Sharing the Story Behind Our Veteran-Owned Business

The FIX Union team welcomed participants of MediaHub, a project by the German NGO IDEM e.V. that brings together journalists committed to ethical reporting on veterans' experiences, inclusion, and reintegration.

During the visit, we shared the story of our company—from its very beginning to where we are today. We spoke openly about the challenges we've faced, the milestones we've achieved, and our vision for the future. Most importantly, we introduced our guests not only to our products but also to the people, processes, and values behind them.

From the First Ideas to a Modern Manufacturing Facility

During the tour, journalists met the FIX Union team, visited our production workshops, and learned how we design and manufacture contemporary street furniture, urban infrastructure, and public space solutions.

We remember empty premises that we renovated ourselves, workshops we built from scratch, and the first benches and urban furniture we produced while construction was still underway. Every step was built with our own hands—without ready-made solutions, but with a strong belief that we could create a powerful Ukrainian manufacturing company. Today, that journey continues. Thanks to the support of the Ukrainian Veterans Fund, we have been able to scale our production, invest in a modern hybrid laser machine, and open a new chapter in the company's development."

A New Stage of Growth with the Support of the Ukrainian Veterans Fund

The team also presented our new hybrid laser cutting machine, purchased with grant support from the Ukrainian Veterans Fund and the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, complemented by the company's own investment. This marks an important milestone in expanding our production capabilities.

An Honest Conversation About Veteran Entrepreneurship

The visit also became an opportunity for an open discussion about the realities of veteran entrepreneurship—the challenges our team faces, our participation in international projects, the development of Ukrainian manufacturing, and the role of business in rebuilding the country.

Journalists had the opportunity to ask questions, observe our production process without filters, and see that veteran-owned businesses are, above all, about people who continue to build, create, and contribute to Ukraine after completing their military service.

For the FIX Union team, it was a valuable opportunity to share our experience and demonstrate that every completed project is driven not only by modern technology, but also by determination, teamwork, and confidence in the future of Ukrainian manufacturing.
