FIX street furniture, a member of the Lviv Furniture Cluster, has been included in the FurnCIRCLE Circular Economy Guide — a practical European tool designed to support the furniture industry’s transition to a circular economy.

The publication brings together manufacturers and best practices from different countries that already implement long-lasting design principles, material reuse, and responsible production.

The FurnCIRCLE Guide was developed as part of an initiative helping furniture companies integrate circular approaches into their business models, production processes, and product design. In 2024, the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) came into force in the European Union. It establishes requirements for durability, reparability, reuse, and recyclability of products.

A Digital Product Passport is also being introduced. This electronic tool will contain information about material composition, recycled content, carbon footprint, and repairability.

Furniture has been identified as one of the priority categories for the implementation of these new requirements.
