Fix Union has officially become a practical training base for students of the Department of Urban Planning at Lviv Polytechnic National University. This partnership opens up an opportunity for young people not only to see modern production from the inside, but also to gain real hands-on experience in a field that is rapidly transforming today and requires a new generation of specialists.

For Fix Union, this is much more than a formal cooperation with a university. We are convinced that the development of the industry starts with the development of people. That is why it is important for us to create an environment where students can understand what modern production looks like, how high-quality urban solutions are created, and how real workflows in the industry function.

Education with a practical extension

Today, young professionals often face a gap between theoretical education and the real challenges of the profession. Universities provide fundamental knowledge, but it is practice that helps understand work pace, responsibility, modern technologies, and market requirements.

Within this internship program, students will have the opportunity to explore the processes of design, manufacturing, and implementation of urban equipment and street furniture, observe how modern technical specialties work, and take part in real working processes within the Fix Union team.

“We aim to ensure that young people have access to an environment where they can not only learn but also ask questions, explore their own professional direction, and gain an understanding that technical professions today are about development, innovation, creativity, and opportunity,” says Yaryomyr Shevtsiv, Head of the Woodworking Division.

Building not only products, but also a generation of professionals

Fix Union operates in a field where the quality of the environment directly affects the quality of people’s lives. That is why it is important for us to contribute to shaping a new generation of specialists who will in the future work on the development of cities, public spaces, and modern urbanism in Ukraine.

In addition to familiarizing themselves with production processes, students will also have the opportunity to see how decisions are made during real urban project work — from selecting materials and technical solutions to adapting products to the needs of specific spaces. This is an experience that cannot be gained in the classroom alone, as it builds an understanding of responsibility, scale, and the practical side of the profession.

Practical experience in a real production environment allows young people to see career prospects, assess their skills, and better understand market needs. For many, this can become the first step toward a future career.
